Turn your sketches into photographs.

SketchUp is a great tool for architects and archvizzers due to its ability to help you give shape to your ideas very quickly.  But being able to see how your ideas would look for real is as important.  Light simulation brings the ability to take a photograph of your viewport with little or no extra effort, and without the need to fight with abstract render-specific parameters.  This is why SketchUp's intelligent drawing system and our light simulation technology make a winning team.

* The v1.5 plugin will be posted on this page soon.
** Meanwhile, the plugin included in the setups is v1.0 SP2.

Overview

Our plugin for SketchUp is capable of transporting your geometry to fryrender or Arion seamlessly.  As you can see on the image above, things are as natural as transforming the sketch in your viewport into a photograph.

In order to simplify your workflow, the plugin interprets the native SketchUp materials, and picks up the camera settings as configured in your viewport.  Additionally, it provides a handy toolbar/menu with quick access to fryrender-specific features such as our physical Material Editor, the Atmosphere Editor, etc...

Once you're ready to go, you can hit render and our standalone application will do the rest for you.

Versions and upgrades

Our plugin supports SketchUp Pro 5, 6 and 7 for Windows.

Note that SketchUp is a 32-bit app, and so is our plugin. However, since fryrender is a separate application, you can render in 64-bit using fryrender's 64-bit standalone.

Our plugin for SketchUp can be downloaded free of charge by our customers and DEMO users. The latest version of the plugin will always be available on this page.

The SketchUp plugin is fully compatible with fryrender and Arion.

You can take a look at the version changelog here.
